The Birth of An Idea

Imagine taking a vacation and while you’re out seeing the sights, your phone dies, disconnecting you from the people who matter most. You no longer have access to your GPS, to find your way back to your hotel and you don’t see an iPhone charger anywhere.

As it starts to rain, you find yourself running around to every store within view to get a charge but there is none. The language barrier is too deep that locals don’t understand your plea for help. They either smile and keep walking or they think you’re crazy and run away from you.

This exact situation happened to us and is what sparked the idea to help millennials #LiveLifeCharged. Having a battery source that can be there when you need it without keeping you tied to a wall outlet. Now, that’s our way of turning disaster into a win.

Our Solution

BatteryXchange provides an ecosystem of smart kiosk machines that are used to increase connectivity between people, businesses, and communities at large. BatteryXchange is also a rental platform/mobile application that helps customers find on-demand portable batteries to recharge their mobile devices while on-the-go.

The company seeks to place their kiosks in various locations such as hospitals, university campuses, sporting arenas, and bars/restaurants. Together, we can Live Life Charged! For more information, download the 'BatteryXchange' app on both the Google Play and Apple App Store today.

CEO & Co-Founder

BatteryXchange, Inc was founded in 2019 by Mr. Desmond Wiggan (CEO & Co-founder) and Mr. Aubrey Yeboah (CMO & Co-Founder) after teaching and pursuing their MBAs in Asia.

Let's say you forget your charger, though. What do you do if you’re in the middle of a busy day and your phone dies? Desmond Wiggan and Aubrey Yeboah asked themselves this simple question while completing MBA degrees in China. They had an hour commute every day via train, during which Wiggan’s phone often died while Yeboah’s got dangerously close.

They found a solution when they stumbled on a bar where you could rent portable battery packs to easily recharge. The duo quickly saw the opportunity for this simple service to thrive back in the U.S. “We thought about how many times we were in this situation and how many times we would need something to keep us going from point A to point B. We started to sketch out what we would want as a prototype." Thus, Battery exchange was born.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
